Michelle Evens and her 2 year old daughter Keelie have been working with Housing Works formerly know as Central Oregon Housing Authority to realize her dream of being a homeowner. However, despite her hard work and dedication to the Housing Works program with the current housing prices that dream may never have been a reality for Michelle.
With the help of over 20 local trade partners, manufacturers, and craftsmen—who provided donated labor and materials towards the project—Michelle and Keelie have a home of their very own with at 30 year no-interest loan.
The Hayden Giving Fund is a Non-Profit Organization that was created by Hayden Homes as a way to give back in the communities they build. Since 1998 the Giving Fund has dedicated 11 homes and granted thousands of dollars to community programs. The Hayden Giving Fund will dedicate a home in Veneta before the end of the year and plans on building 6 homes throughout Oregon and Washington next year.
