(ALBANY, OREGON) – At 11:30am on Monday, July 16th, a Albany family will meet the many people who helped build their brand new Hayden Home in the homebuilder’s community of Chartwell Station in Albany. Sharon Murdock and her two children were selected, in cooperation with the Linn-Benton Housing Authority, to be the recipients of a Hayden Giving Fund Grant House. They will own the home with a 30 year interest-free loan.
With the help of local trade partners, manufacturers, and craftsmen—who provided donated labor and materials towards the project—the family have a home of their very own. The 3 bedroom, 2 bath home is the Fund’s 15th Grant House to be dedicated. The Fund plans to award 2 more homes through in Oregon this year.
About the Hayden Giving Fund
The Hayden Giving Fund started in 1998, when an employee suggested that Hayden Homes create a non-profit to provide help and support to the communities in which they build homes. Its primary purpose is the establishment of Housing Grants. The Hayden Giving Fund also contributes to various community organizations and programs throughout Oregon and Washington.
