Part of the success at Hayden Homes is rooted in the philosophy that no neighborhood is separate from the community around it, and that stronger communities make better places to live
Hayden Homes has sponsored the giving fund since its inception. Our financial support comes in large part from Hayden Homes and its employees. Hayden Homes matches dollar for dollar, every donation their own people give. Further support comes from many generous donors and the many trade partners and manufactures who make the Grant House Program possible. Today when you buy a Hayden Home you will also become part of the Hayden Giving Fund Family through our Charitable Fee.
The Charitable fee is a financial vehicle which gives Hayden Homes the opportunity to expand and leverage their relationships with homebuyers to help meet our country's problem with homelessness. The Fee creates an ongoing method for those fortunate enough to be able to buy a home, to have a simple and direct way to assist those who are less fortunate.
Upon closing of a Hayden Home a fee totaling 1/8th of one percent ($125 per 100,000) of the gross sales price of the home is collected from the seller on that transaction, and then from each new sales transaction thereafter. Thus each time the home is sold, an ongoing, in perpetuity, fee is generated.
Hayden Homes feels strongly about long term planning to support low income housing. If a homebuyer chooses not to pay the fee Hayden Homes is happy to refer them to another community that does no address our country's significant problem with homelessness.
